CLOUDLESS SULFUR (Phoebis senna).

Flight Period: Multiple brooded in warm climates.  Males are a brilliant yellow and females are often orange-yellow (sometimes albinic) with a dark forewing cell-spot and dark borders.  Strong migrations occur some years during the spring and autumn as far north as Maine, Montana, and northern California.  It is a rapid flyer and is commonly found in open spaces, brushy areas, gardens, deserts, and along seashores.   

Range: Southwest, Gulf states, Florida, south to Mexico, Patagonia, Bahamas, and the Antilles. 

Host Plant: Senna (Cassia spp.).

Wing Span: 2 1/8 - 2 3/4" (54 - 70 mm).
