Greenhouse

The Monarch Program uses a 2,200 sq. ft. greenhouse area to cultivate flowering plants for adult butterflies and host plants for a variety of caterpillars.  The same amount of space is utilized outdoors for shaded plant areas, a work area for transplanting or starting plants from cuttings, and a place to store pots and soil.

Volunteers who assist with cultivating our plants are a valuable asset to our program.  Our plants feed the caterpillars that are needed to support our educational programs.

People in the San Diego area who may be interested in volunteering for the Monarch Program should contact David F. Marriott here. Thank you
